This online form will be used as a means of approving the creation, modification, or inactivation of for-credit micro-credentials in the College of Science. The form can also be used to notify the college about non-credit micro-credential offerings (create, modify, or inactivate). Non-credit micro-credentials do not require college approval, but notifying the college is required; without this notification, the Office of Continuing and Professional Education will not process the micro-credential.
Micro-credentials (commonly referred to as “badges”) are not standard university offerings. They are not for-credit and will not appear in the University Catalog.
This form must be completed, approved by the chair of the primary department, and submitted for College of Science Curriculum Committee (COSCC) review. COSCC deadlines can be found here.
